What happens on the free 15-minute call

The first step with any new client is a short phone call. Here is what we cover, what I will ask you, what you can ask me, and what happens next if we are a fit.

What happens on the free 15-minute call

Every new client starts the same way: a free 15-minute consultation call. No forms first, no commitment.

What the call is for

You share what you are experiencing and what you are looking for from counseling. You ask me anything you want to know about how I work. And I tell you honestly whether my training and experience are a good fit for what you need. If they are not, I will say so and point you somewhere better.

We also sort out the practical side: whether you have out-of-network benefits, or whether you will be paying privately. A sliding fee scale is available on request.

If we are a fit

At the end of the call, if it feels right to both of us, I offer you an intake appointment. We coordinate a date, time and place that works for you, in my office at 2098 Portage Road in Wooster or by video. The intake is 90 minutes of history taking and information gathering, so I understand your circumstances, your symptoms and your day to day before we plan the work.

To request the call, use the appointment button on any page of this site. It goes straight to my secure client portal.
